Aggie Football

All things A&M.

Founded in 1871, Texas A&M is home to 60,000+ students across 5,200 acres, and one of the best gameday atmospheres in college football. Join the 12th Man tradition at Kyle Field, and don’t miss the Corps march down Houston Street before kickoff. We couldn’t be more proud to call College Station home.

All about the 12th Man. Aggie football fans call themselves the 12th Man — a nod to the 11 players on the field. The tradition dates back to 1922, when injuries during the Dixie Classic left the Aggie coach worried he’d run out of players. He called reserve E. King Gill down from the stands to suit up, and fans have claimed the 12th Man name ever since. The Midnight Yell carries the spirit on, with students gathering at midnight before every home and away game to practice!
